Join KLRU's Overheard with Evan Smith for a conversation with Howard Dean on Friday, November 12, at 4 pm in KLRU Studio 6A (map). Doors open at 3:30 pm. Please RSVP at the form on the left to ensure admittance. This program will air on November 18 at 7pm on KLRU.

Dean was just launching his medical career when he ran for the Vermont Legislature, spending time as a state representative before becoming lieutenant governor.  That job led to six terms as Governor of Vermont, followed by a run for the Democractic presidential nomination in 2004 and four years as head of the DNC.  Dean’s use of the Internet in 2004 paved the way for other campaigns that have followed.  And he’s found success as the head of a million-member PAC.  With the midterms behind us and big changes ahead, Dean shares his take on recent events and his strategy for the future.

Overheard with Evan Smith updates the successful formula of KLRU's award-winning series Texas Monthly Talks - great conversation with fascinating people, always on the news and always with a sense of humor. The new show will bring you the same mix of guests from politics, the arts, literature, journalism, business, sports and more, and will be offered to PBS stations nationwide.
